What is the difference between a Square meter m2 and a cubic meter m3?

M2 – or square meters – is a unit of area that is two-dimensional, and M3 – or cubic meters – is a unit of volume, which is a three-dimensional space.

The volume in cubic meters (m3) should be divided by the thickness in meters. The result is an area in square meters (m2).

What is the smallest amount you will deliver?

We can deliver as little as a ¼ of m3

What is the Biggest amount you can deliver in one load?

We can deliver 8.5m3 to 9m3 of Crushed rock, toppings and sand, up to 10m3 of soil or up to 12m3 of Mulch. If you require larger loads and have access for a truck and trailer, we can also organise this kind of delivery.

What Soil do you recommend?

Our ‘Famous’ Veggie Garden Soil has been made in yard for over 20 years. An heirloom formula, that is a combination of Blended screened soil, course sand for drainage, mushroom compost, screened  manure and mountain soil. The Ph level is 5.5 to 6.5, which makes it the perfect mix for beneficial nutrients for all veggie beds and flower beds or fruiting trees or  adding in to poor soil quality areas for new planting. It is though, not recommended for Australian natives, as it may be too Alkaline and natives thrive on acidic soils. The perfect PH for natives is 5 to 5.5, which we recommend using our Blended/Turf soil (Vic roads approved and certified). This is a Light and fluffy  soil with sand screened through it for drainage purposes, otherwise we stock a top quality budget soil for back filling or garden top ups.

What do you recommend for levelling Driveways and pot holes?

We recommend using a standard Road base of 20mm or 40mm Crushed rock. Crushed rock, simply put, is rock that has been crushed in the quarry but also contains the rock dust which makes the product go hard and compact. Best way to compact crushed rock is by wetting it down and using a compactor or Whacker machine. This material can also be ‘Stabilised’ for a harder compaction with cement added.
